Visiting the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary, the most ethical sanctuary in Phuket, gives curious visitors a unique opportunity to interact with magnificent elephants in the safety and security of their natural home. Our trained English-speaking guides give visitors insight into the behavior and the personal history of our animals, while our mahouts help people realize incredible life experiences such as bathing elephants in Phuket or feeding them by hand.

The Sanctuary itself has stunning views of beaches and jungles, which visitors can appreciate at their own pace. The elephants are more than happy to let their new friends check out the view or take a few photos so that everyone remembers this Phuket tour.

The package deal includes two traditional Thai buffet meals, drinking water, and even food for feeding the elephants!

When you arrive at the sanctuary, the guides will give you a basic overview of the tour, how our welfare programs take place and some information about the animals. Since the tour can get messy and wet (in a very fun way!) we suggest that you bring some things with you. Bring a hat, sunscreen, a bathing suit, a towel and a change of clothes.

Throughout your visit to Elephant Jungle Sanctuary, you will be feeding, bathing and even playing with the animals. You will even get to tell everybody you know that you went swimming with elephants in Phuket! It is also important to us that you learn as much as possible about these animals and why it is important to protect them. As an ethical sanctuary in Phuket, we want to promote the ethical treatment of these magnificent animals all around the world. With the money we raise from visits and donations, we can contribute to their welfare by rescuing them, feeding them, provide veterinary care and giving them land and infrastructure for them to live on.

PROGRAM ITINERARY

Morning Tour Program

Schedule:

6:30-7:30 AM: Pick-up from your hotel or accommodation in Phuket (fees apply for some areas).
8:00 AM: Arrival at Elephant Jungle Sanctuary Phuket. Enjoy a welcome snack, tea, or coffee, and learn about the elephants and the sanctuary's program.
8:15 AM: Assist in preparing natural dietary supplements for the elephants.
8:30 AM: Meet and feed the elephants, administer dietary supplements, and learn their stories. Interact and take photos with them.
9:00 AM: Participate in a mud spa with the elephants.
9:30 AM: Swim with the elephants and join them in the outdoor ‘Elephant Shower’.
10:10 AM: Use the facilities to shower, dry off, and change clothes.
10:20 AM: Enjoy a lunch of traditional Thai food and seasonal fruit.
10:45 AM: Engage in the ‘DIY Poop Paper’ recycled paper activity.
11:00 AM: Departure from the sanctuary, driving back through scenic views.
12:00-12:30 PM: Drop-off at your hotel or accommodation (if applicable).

Afternoon Tour Program

Schedule:

Must-Knows:

Flexibility: The sanctuary allows maximum time with the elephants, so the schedule may vary except for pick-up times.
Child Pricing: Children aged 4-10 years receive a discounted price. Children under 1-3 years are free.
Special Requirements: Notify the sanctuary in advance of any food allergies, dietary needs, limited mobility, or health conditions.
Ethical Practices: The sanctuary does not force elephants to participate in any activities. Elephant participation in mud spas and showers depends on their willingness.
Health and Safety: Pregnant guests or those using wheelchairs must inform the sanctuary and sign a health waiver.
Activity Changes: Elephant activities are subject to change without notice.

- Private Transfer by Minibus: 1600 Baht for 4-10 people.

Advance Booking: Make reservations at least 1-2 days before the tour date, by 8:00 PM (office hours), to guarantee seat availability.
Confirmation: Only fully paid bookings will receive a confirmation and a ticket voucher.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the departure date will be charged 25% of the total amount.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the departure date will be charged 100% of the total amount.
Cancellations made less than 12 hours before the departure or no-show will be charged 100% of the total amount.
In case of sickness, a medical certificate is required. We will try to reschedule, but the cancellation policy still applies, and the full balance is due on the booked trip day. Rescheduling may not be possible due to limited availability.
